How Passporteer’s public tools produce results
The tools are designed to expose data gaps and operational risks. They do not certify legal compliance.
DPP Readiness Checker
The checker maps common Shopify columns into eight areas: title, vendor, SKU, barcode, weight, origin, materials and care. It calculates non-empty row coverage for each area and averages those percentages. Fields below 90% are prioritized. A populated value can still be incorrect or unsupported.
Certificate Expiry Scanner
Urgency is calculated from the expiry date supplied by the user. Past dates are expired, 0–30 days is urgent, 31–90 days is due, and more than 90 days is current. The scanner does not authenticate certificates or validate their scope.
Deadline Finder
The finder matches plain-language product terms against a maintained planning map. It identifies relevant regulatory frameworks and likely data areas, but product classification, economic-operator role and product-specific measures must be confirmed from official sources.
Schema Validator
The browser validator checks JSON syntax and a small baseline schema: product identity, name, category, manufacturer name, origin format, materials and material percentages. It is not a universal EU schema and should not be described as regulatory certification.
Passport Preview
The preview transforms user-entered data into a sample public-facing layout and QR code. It demonstrates presentation only; it does not create a registered, persistent or legally compliant passport.
